So far there have been new members at every meeting. We now have about 30 regular attendees but only between 10 and 15 at a meeting because of the instability of these conditions and medical appointments. Our average attendance is slowly rising although many have dropped by the wayside, either through deteriorating health or, happily, because they had recovered from PMR or GCA. People come from Glenrothes, Edinburgh and as far away as Peebles to our monthly meetings.
We now have nearly 500 contacts and many distant non-attending members.
The organisation now has membership of several bodies:
Long Term Conditions Alliance Scotland (LTCAS) http://www.ltcas.org.uk/
The Helplines Association (THA) associate membership http://www.helplines.org.uk/
The Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) http://www.scvo.org.uk/
The Arthritis and Musculoskeletal Alliance (ARMA) http://arma.uk.net/
